The Lifelong Learning Week will be organised by the LLL Platform in cooperation with the Bulgarian and Austrian Presidency of the Council of the EU, the Youth Intergroup and the Lifelong Learning Interest Group of the European Parliament, as well as partners such as Public Libraries 2020 and Culture Action Europe.
This year, the LLL Week can count on 10 different events, covering all the spectrum of “Lifelong Learning Culture”.
The ATEE, together with Organising Bureau of European School Student Unions (OBESSU), the European Federation for Intercultural Learning (EFIL) and the European Students’ Union (ESU) are organising a debate on the relation of formal education, active citizenship and culture, involving UNESCO and the EU-CoE Youth Partnership.
The event will take place at the European Parliament on 4 December at 4 pm.
The invited speakers will discuss how cultural awareness and learning contribute to active citizenship, the European and global dimensions of the related competences, and connections between active citizenship and formal education in Europe through sharing experiences, practices and examples.
