You are invited to attend the roundtable @MundoB Rue d’Edimburg 26 – Brussels, Belgium on 13 November 2019 – from 2 to 6 pm followed by a Reception (until 9 pm)
Speakers from the EU institutions (European Commission and Parliament), youth workers, civil society and participants are also encouraged to bring up successful initiatives in the field of youth work, volunteering and social inclusion.
One of the key challenges in Europe is to build youth workers’ and volunteers’ competences to better reach out and engage disadvantaged youth in their local communities.
15% of European youth is a NEET, that is one out of six young people not in employment, education, or training. While formal education is struggling to find solutions for these target groups, non-formal education stakeholders achieve great results in providing them with training, civic and social activities, hence enhancing social inclusion.
The Lifelong Learning Platform is in charge for the organisation of this final conference where a policy round table will bring together the views of the different European institutions with the presence of MEP Kostas Arvanitis and Head of Unit at DG EAC, Florencia Van Houdt, along with civil society and other European stakeholders.
Afterwards, with an open agenda format we will provide all stakeholders space for sharing their perspectives and approaches.
