ATEE- 6 months report: Strengthening a Global Web of Partnerships

Following our recent update on academic excellence, we are excited to share the strategic side of our work. At ATEE, our strength lies in our commitment to networking and global influence. Over the last half-year, the Administrative Council has been tirelessly building bridges to ensure our members' research reaches the highest levels of international policy.

A Major Milestone: UNESCO & Global Advocacy

A key achievement of this period is our strengthened collaboration with the UNESCO International Task Force on Teachers for Education 2030. This partnership ensures that ATEE research contributes directly to the global Education 2030 agenda. We also continue to lead through our presence on the European School Education Platform (ESEP) and the Lifelong Learning Platform (LLLP) in Brussels.

 Expanding our Global Ecosystem

ATEE is actively building bridges across continents and sectors:

  • New Research Alliance: We are proud to announce a new professional alliance with the Japanese Society for the Study of Teacher Education (JSSTE), connecting European research with excellence in Asia.
  • Global Alliances: Continued collaboration with the World Federation of Associations of Teacher Education (WFATE) and the ATE (USA).
  • Interculturality & Innovation: Partnering with EFIL-AFS International and developing digital projects with TEC Monterrey (Mexico).
  • Professional Standards: Working with CCPFC (Portugal) to create new pathways for teacher career recognition.

A Stronger Foundation & New Project Opportunities

To support this growth, the AC has finalized a suite of governance documents, including a new Code of Ethics, Role Descriptions, and Recognition Letters.

Furthermore, we are excited to announce that ATEE is now officially ready to participate as a full partner in EU-funded projects (Erasmus+, Horizon Europe, etc.). We invite members to reach out to the Secretariat [email protected] to discuss how an ATEE partnership can strengthen your next project proposal.

We look forward to an inspiring second half of 2026 and to seeing many of you in Białystok this August!

Warm regards,

The ATEE Administrative Council
