ICC: research for a new chair or co-chair  

The current Co-Chairs of ICC-the International Language Association, will be stepping down from their roles during the ICC Annual Conference in Zurich on 9/10 May, as their three-year tenure comes to an end.

As they prepare for this transition, they are now looking for motivated and engaged individuals, from within or outside the current ICC network, who would be interested in taking over the role of Chair or Co-Chairs.

This is a valuable opportunity to actively shape the direction of the ICC, strengthen international collaboration, and contribute to the development of our shared goals. 🌍

Eucen: new MESHE project on Micro-Credentials

EUCEN has recently started a project connected to Micro-Credentials: MESHE (Micro-credentials Exchange System for HE in Europe https://meshe.eucen.eu). 

In the first phase of the project, Eucen is exploring the barriers and challenges that influence adult learners when deciding whether it is worth enrolling in micro-credential programmes. The aim is to develop an advocacy pack that explains what micro-credentials are, what they are useful for, and how these short learning opportunities can benefit adult learners and support their personal and professional development. 

They are currently consulting learners through a series of Focus Discussion Groups in 7 different countries. In addition, they would like to gather the perspectives of providers and stakeholders. 

For this reason, they have prepared a very short survey (5-8 min) and would greatly appreciate your input. The survey asks about the challenges that learners face when engaging with micro-credentials.

Solidar is pleased to invite you to participate in the upcoming Transnational Workshop on Emotional Literacy and Youth Participation methodologies and practices, which will take place online on 11th May 2026 between 5pm and 6.30pm CEST. 

The event will gather youth workers, youth leaders and stakeholders for youth participation from across Europe, Jordan, Lebanon, and Morocco. Building upon the results of online trainings, the resulting handbooks, and national debates, the upcoming workshop will be the culmination of the capacity-building component of the EMPASY project, funded by the Erasmus+ programme.  

Participants will therefore have access to the knowledge and resources developed by all project partners thanks to cross-border engagement, and to contribute with their reflections to the upcoming transnational campaign for emotional literacy and youth participation, to be rolled out in the coming months across all participating countries.
