The webinar aims at reflecting on the challenges that universities will face in the next decade’s initial teacher training in universities, both due to the effects of the pandemic and the existence of previous challenges.
First part: 30/45 minutes.
Based on the document “Horizon 2031. The University of Granada in Light of its V Centenary. Reflections on the Future of the University ”, the speaker will discuss the great challenges of the university in this new decade, and especially of the initial training of teachers, trainers, and educators, addressing whether these challenges have changed during the current pandemic.
It ends with the description of the specific problems that the Faculty of Education Sciences of the University of Granada has had, in its adaptation to virtual teaching in the last semester and in the modifications in the teaching organization in the new semester which a just started.
Second part: 30/45 minutes.
Interventions of the participants in the seminar with their own reflections and ideas on how to face the post-COVID challenges or the description of their own experiences (theirs or their institutions) during the pandemic. The document “Horizon 2031” can serve the participants to promote this reflection.
