MAKER EDUCATION: FROM NON-FORMAL TO FORMAL EDUCATION

Location: European Parliament

With the collaboration of MEP Mikuláš Peksa, the conference will briefly introduce the achievements and results of the DOIT project, as well as the main findings of a European Commission’s report titled “Makerspaces for Education and Training: Exploring Future Implications for Europe”. On the basis of the results presented, a roundtable aims at exploring the opportunities and challenges offered by maker education.

NEW SKILLS FOR AN EVER MORE DIGITAL WORLD
Date: 26 March 2020, 10:30-12:30
Location: European Parliament

With the collaboration of MEP Claudia Gamon, the conference will introduce the main findings of a OECD’s report titled “Skills Outlook 2019” and possible updates for the European Commission “Digital Education Plan” will be discussed. On the basis of the two keynote speeches, we will host a roundtable aiming at examining what are the new skills necessary for preparing the youth to succeed in today’s digitalized world! The discussion will benefit from the perspective of different stakeholders from the education sector, industry, civil society and policy-making representatives.
