2023 Winter Conference
TEACHER PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT IN TIMES OF GLOBAL AND GLOCAL TRANSFORMATIONS: INTERNATIONAL PERSPECTIVES AND CHALLENGES

The ATEE Winter Conference in 2023 will focus on teacher professional development in times of global and glocal shifts. The conference will offer a platform for the scholars from around the world to present and discuss research on teacher education and teacher professional development considering various social, psychological, and pedagogical challenges.
Current research in teacher education that addresses teacher professionalism, issues associated with migration, peace, diversity, equity, inclusion, interculturality, climate, and digital innovations in education will contribute to the conference goal related to fostering inquiry into the complex challenges encountered in education.

Teachers and teacher educators are increasingly challenged to rethink their educational practices and align them with the needs of contemporary teenagers.
Furthermore, educational researchers are faced with the complex task of studying the use of digital technology in innovative learning environments. The ambition of the 2018 Winter Conference was to combine empirical research findings with experience from practice by sharing tools, hands-on examples and teaching methodology. By doing so, we aimed to enhance the learning experience of both regular and refugee students.
The 2018 Winter Conference was focused on the critical years of learning and development during secondary and higher education.

Teacher Education & Digital Technology
This sub-theme of the conference concentrates on conceptual, theoretical and empirical research related to digital technologies in (school) education, primarily through the spectrum of teacher education.
Professional Development of Teachers
We encourage researchers to share findings or discussion topics that contribute to insights in various ways of professional development of teachers. We especially welcome contributions that relate to the use of technology and the creation of innovative learning environments
Refugee Education
Today, only 14% of young people in poor countries complete their studies up to higher education. We hope this conference theme on refugee education will bring necessary awareness as to how the role of teachers and teaching needs to evolve.

The VI ATEE Winter Conference will be organised by the RDC Education for Social Justice, Equity and Diversity, the Faculty of Education and Psychology at ELTE University and the Hungarian Pedagogical Association.
The theme of this conference is Social Justice and Diversity in Teacher Education.
The conference welcomes any kind of theoretical or empirical research papers related to the conference theme from different disciplines, approaches and research traditions. Participatory, collaborative or practitioner research studies are particularly welcome, as well as policy analysis.

2012 ATEE Winter Conference
Professional development of teacher educators: Bringing together policy, practice and research

This conference is the first-ever to focus on teacher educators. It is the result of a collaboration between the Research and Development Community of the ATEE“Professional Development of Teacher Educators”, the Mofet Institute in Tel Aviv and theUniversity of Coimbra.
During the conference, a variety of activities will take place to ensure both the exchange of academic research as well as reflection on policy and practice, such as expert keynote presentations, paper presentations of research, and sessions which share the experience of teacher educators. In addition, staff members from the Mofet Institute will give workshops about their work with teacher educators.
