Seminar Teacher Education, Research and Social Justice

International Scientific Seminar: Teacher Education, Research and Social Justice.

University of Zaragoza, Faculty of Education  –  17-18 October 2019

The aim of this international research conference on teacher training and social justice in higher education is to help broaden our knowledge of teacher training, while reinforcing the value of research as a basis for their training in order to improve attention to heterogeneity of the school population. The purpose is to create a space for exchange, reflection and discussion based on research into the issue.
Teacher training at higher education institutions represents a critical point. In a context characterized by globalization, migratory movements and inclusion as a societal value, university teacher training institutions must face the challenge, implications and needs that these factors demand from the future professionals they train. The responsibility of universities and institutions entrusted with training teachers is essential to prepare future professionals so that they will participate in and develop schools that respect different needs and contribute to social justice. This means investigating, exploring, reflecting, reconstructing and thereby making their profession a continuous process of research and change.

Deadline for submissions is 20 September.
