Research and Development Communities (RDCs) form the core of our association. These communities bring together teacher educators, researchers in teacher education, and other stakeholders from across Europe and beyond to engage in meaningful exchange, collaboration, and professional development.
RDC activities encompass a wide range of initiatives, including joint research projects, in-depth discussions on key issues in teacher education, the formulation of policy recommendations and strategic initiatives, the organisation of workshops, and the promotion of collegial exchange from an international perspective.
Participation in RDCs is open to both members and non-members of the association. Below, you will find detailed information about each RDC, including their focus areas and ongoing projects.
How does it
work?
Our Research and Development Communities (RDCs) are structured around key themes and pressing issues in teacher education, both current and enduring. They provide a dynamic platform for professionals with shared interests to connect, learn from one another, and engage in collective growth.
RDC initiatives may include collaborative research projects, participation in EU-funded programmes, the co-development of scholarly publications – such as thematic issues of the Associations’ Journal, the European Journal of Teacher Education – and other forms of academic and professional exchange. Below you find all links to our RDCs. To find out more, please, contact the RDCs’ chairs or our RDC coordinator.
